can a stick welder be used for Aulminium?

I want to by a welder that does’n need gas. Can the old stick weld be used on Aluminium with and aluminium rod?
Yes, you can. The rods tend to be large in diameter, and burn very quickly. While MIG welding is better, stick welding with aluminum is still possible, and the rods for it are available.
